Due to this being a collaboration with Maruta, I wanted to maintain the integrity of this soup while honoring the collaboration and make it into a full meal that utilizes fire by way of charring vegetables. Because the soup is so vegetable-forward, I wanted to brighten it up a bit and give it a little more depth while still celebrating the original flavor.
