Berry Lemonade Smoothie with GRØN & TOTAL WORKOUT

Vegan, Gluten Free, Refined Sugar Free Friendly

Earlier this year, I collaborated with TOTAL WORKOUT and GRØN to celebrate plant-based living by way of our workshop in Tokyo this past May. I had the best time speaking about plant-based nutrition and how truly abundant it is. When I was dreaming up ideas of what I wanted this smoothie to be, I knew hotter than hot temperatures would be on the rise so obviously, it needed to be extra refreshing while leaving you light but satisfied. Meet the Berry Lemonade Smoothie.

Smoothies and smoothie bowls are one of my favorite ways to get in a lot of nutrients while staying cool and are an easy way to get in a ton of antioxidants, fiber, protein, and healthy fats. For a limited time, you can get your hands on this smoothie at the Roppongi Hills and Shibuya TOTAL WORKOUT locations in Tokyo. If you can’t make it, no need to fret as the recipe is below.

Ingredients

1 cup unsweetened soy milk

1 cup frozen riced cauliflower, or 1 cup frozen cauliflower florets

1 cup frozen mixed berries

1 frozen banana

¼ cup frozen avocado chunks, or 1/4th fresh avocado

20 grams of Criollo Berries protein powder

2 tbsp fresh lemon juice

2 tbsp chia seeds

1 tsp lemon zest, plus more to top

1 tsp vanilla extract (optional)

Pinch of sea salt

Method

Place all the ingredients in a high speed blender. Blend until the smoothie reaches your desired consistency.

For thicker smoothies, add less liquid. For thinner smoothies, add more liquid.

Pour into a glass and top lemon zest, granola, cacao nibs, or your favorite toppings.
